We fully understand your concern. Even for people that are not really into gaming, The Park will offer you a unique opportunity to experience endless possibilities through technology in a really fun and entertainment way with friends and family.
What is The Park?
The Park takes team play to another level. Explore 200 m2 of free-to-roam virtual reality and as team complete you are give a challenging mission to compete. Your equipment: a lightweight backpack, VR goggles and a futuristic weapon.
What is Virtual Reality?
Virtual reality is a computer-simulated reality. It replicates an environment that simulates the physical presence of places in the real world or of an imagined world, allowing the user to interact in that environment. VR is the future of gaming, film and entertainment in general. It completely immerses the user in the environment, blurring the lines between realities as entertainment. There’s a constant interaction between the physical world and the digital visual content in the experienced environment.
During the Experience
Will other players join my game?
Games should be played in complete teams to guarantee the best experience. A complete team consists of 6 people for De Dag and 8 people for The Hallow. If you play with a larger group, you'll guarantee your group is playing a private game(s). If you choose to play a non private game with a team of 1 to 5 players for De Dag and 1 to 7 players for The Hallow, it could be that other players will join to complete your team.
Can I take pictures during/after the game?
Yes! During the game your friends or family can watch the game behind a safety glass in the lobby and take pictures of you in action. You can't take pictures yourself during the game because of the hardware you'll be wearing.
How big is the room we will play in?
The Park offers you a playing field of 200 square meters. The game itself is set in a larger virtual area and gives you the feeling that is the terrain is endless.
Won’t I walk into a wall?
If you are approaching a wall or obstacle, the game will give you a clear warning. As long as you follow the game instructions, you won’t have to take the VR glasses off during the game and can let yourself go into the virtual world.
Won’t I get dizzy from wearing VR glasses?
The VR hardware at The Park is designed in a way that it avoids dizziness and other unpleasant VR-feelings as much as possible. But if for a reason you don’t feel too well, our personnel is trained to help you.
How heavy is the hardware? Will I be able to carry it during the whole game?
The backpack PC weighs approximately 4 kilograms. Average adults and children of 12 years and older should have no problem carrying the backpack for 30 minutes.
Will I see my teammates during the game?
Yes you will. Their digital version actually. They will see yours too.
Can I keep my glasses on during the game?
If the frame of your glasses is smaller than 142mm wide and 50mm high, it will fit in our VR hardware. However: we do advise to wear contact lenses or take off your glasses if possible.
Are there any (physical) requirement to be able to participate?
You have to be able to walk around with a backpack and use your 2 hands the entire duration of the game. For this reason, our game isn’t wheelchair friendly at this moment. We do not recommend the game for pregnant women or people who have a serious heart condition or epilepsy. If you have a different injury or illness and want to make sure that you won’t have any trouble playing, please contact us.
What can I expect from my 60 minute experience?
The experience lasts 60 minutes per team and consists of:
- Try-out in our VR Demo Area
- Main game (25-30-minutes)

Is there a place for my family/friends to wait
Yes, your family or friends can wait in our lounge area or bar. They can watch your game and take pictures through a safety glass.
Is there anything I should bring? What should I wear?
There's no need for you to bring anything specific. We do recommend that every player wear comfortable clothes they can move freely in.
At what time do we arrive for our game?
The arrival time is stated on your confirmation email. Make sure to arrive about 5-10 minutes ahead of time so you won't lose any game time.
What is the minimum age to play?
Because of the graphic nature of the game and the necessary hardware, the minimum age is set to 12 years and older. The headsets might not fit, and the backpack might be too heavy. A sub-optimal experience is possible. This age limit might change in the future. Under the age of 16? We will ask for you to be accompanied by an adult.
