Portugal - ENVR Game Jam RECAP Antwerp
The weekend of 22 and 23 Feb was all about creativity, technology and collaboration at the VR Game Jam. In just 30 hours, 9 enthusiastic teams worked on developing innovative VR experiences. From the initial brainstorming sessions to the final presentations - it was a weekend full of energy, new ideas and, above all, lots of fun!
High-level creativity and teamwork
The participants, divided into teams of 2 to 5 people, were given the challenge of developing a working VR game within a limited time. With just a laptop and a good dose of perseverance, they set to work. Thanks to the VR headsets provided, the teams were able to bring their ideas to life immediately.
Throughout the weekend, participants received guidance from experienced mentors and inspiring speakers, who shared valuable insights on game development, VR technology and innovation.
From Concept to (Virtual) Reality
The teams worked day and night to refine their concepts and create functioning VR experiences. The atmosphere was fantastic - in between the hard work, there was laughter, testing and, above all, collaboration.
After intense hours of development and optimisation, the teams presented their creations to a panel of judges. The results were stunning: from immersive VR worlds to innovative gameplay mechanics.
And the Winners are...
After an exciting final round, the best VR projects were awarded prizes. The jury judged the games on creativity, technical execution and playability. But winners or not - every participant went home with new skills, valuable experience and great memories.
